What do your services cost?
I charge $50/hour NZD + the cost of any materials used. Travel in the Auckland region of up to 2 hours per project is included, after that a travel surcharge will apply.
Can you digitise my old cassettes and VHS tapes?
No but I am happy to organise this for you via a referral to someone who does.
What sort of products do you use to store or display my family archives?
I only use archival quality, acid-free products from Conservation Supplies
Can you research my family tree?
Yes, I can help you with that. I am currently studying to become a certified genealogist, and have done this for my own family. If I believe your request is outside my scope or skill level, I will refer you to someone who can help.
Do you offer your services outside the Auckland Region?
At this stage I am focused on delivering face-to-face, hands-on archiving and digitising services. The exception is the ‘look-up’ service, I am more than happy to visit the library microfiche or the Auckland office of Archives New Zealand for you, if you live outside of Auckland or cannot access these records in your home town.
Can you analyse my DNA results, or help me research or find living family members (e.g., birth family for adoptees)?
No, these are not services I offer at this stage, but I can refer you to people who can.
